NIMBA's research programme has been the foundation of the organisation since it's establishment in 1988. Since our inception there has been significant growth in the range of issues researched and as a new millennium has dawned the programme has expanded to fund the highest number of projects ever.

'Helping babies to a healthy future' has been the major aim of NIMBA's work over the years, but to carry out this vital research, and to continue the expansion of the support services, funding is essential. The Northern Ireland public and business community has been generous to NIMBA over the years, but as the organisation receives limited statutory funding, fundraising will continue to be the cornerstone for future developments in NIMBA.
